Total Gro - Benefits & Recommendations

Including Total-Gro in a fertilizer program
offers these advantages

  • Total-Gro supplies well balanced Macro, Micro and Trace Element nutrients with 100% availability to the plants (no losses).
  • Total-Gro contains a complex of Natural Plant Hormones that stimulate Root, Leaf and Fruit Growth
  • Total-Gro is a superior CHELATOR of elements unlike inorganic chelating systems. All nutrients are freely available to the plant when applied either as a foliar spray or soil drench.
  • Total-Gro is proven to be more efficient than standard conventional inorganic salt based fertilizers. Efficiencies of 150 <> 600% are achievable, with costs comparing very favourably with conventional fertilizer programs. In most cases Total-Gro is more cost efficient.
  • Total-Gro if used as an adjunct to conventional inorganic salt based fertilizers will reduce the requirements of these inorganic fertilizers. In fact the cost reduction more than compensates for the superior program. Standard composition will change with additions of Organic Elements or Inorganic Salts to achieve required Prescription Values.
  • Total-Gro is a superior prescription fertilizer, allowing the farmer to overcome any obvious nutrient deficiencies. By mixing in the additional required nutrients an immediate response will be achieved, minimising any setbacks in growth, allowing time to implement permanent sustainable strategies.
  • It improves the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil.
  • It solubilises fixed elements in the rhizome area, facilitating the absorption of phosphorus and potassium.
  • It improves the soils capacity to retain nutrients and stimulates root access for greater absorption.
  • As a foliar spray one of its main effects is to increase leaf absorption. Consequently, improving photosynthesis the basefertilization nutrients remain available to the plant for fruit and biomass growth.
  • It corrects any imbalance in the nutrient requirements of the microbiology of the soil, increasing activity.
  • Continual usage of Total-Gro contributes to the retention and formation of organic substances such as humus, humic and fulvic acids, as well as macro and micronutrients (K, Mg, Fe, Zn, etc), considered essential for sustainable plant development and growth.
  • It is compatible with most Herbicides, Fungicides and Trace Element Spray Solutions. In fact if applied as a combination, Total-Gro considerably increases their efficiencies, thus reducing the quantities required and cost of application.
To help improve sustainability, farming practices should be developed to use minimal soil disturbance and continual manure application in association with Total-Gro.

Recommendations

  • Always thoroughly mix Total Gro prior to use.
  • For the best sustainable results use in combination with Seed Assist and Soil Assist as a complete fertilizer program.
  • General application rates: “Soil Drench”
    • Grains, Legumes & Pulses; 15 to 30 litres per hectare.
    • Lucerne & Pastures; 15 litres per hectare at beginning of season. 10 litres per hectare following each cut.
    • Vegetables; 20 to 60 litres per hectare.
    • Strawberries and Brambles; 15 to 40 litres per hectare.
    • Cut Flowers; 20 to 60 litres per hectare.
    • Turf; 10 to 40 litres per hectare
    • Fruit: including Tropical, Citrus, Stone, Pome & Berry
Gross feeders; 20 to 60 litres per hectare.
Medium to light feeders; 10 to 25 litres per hectare.
    • Grapes Table and Wine; 15 to 40 litres per hectare.
  • As an adjunct to conventional fertilizer programs the above rates can be reduced to equal the percentage of the reduction of conventional fertilizer.
  • “Foliar Application” Total-Gro is an ideal nutrient system for foliar application and in most cases the general rates can be reduced. Trial data indicates most plants perform better with a combination of soil application and foliar.
  • “Soil-Less Growing” Total-Gro is ideal for this form of intensive growing with numerous benefits.
“A jar test will indicate suitability with other inputs. The high organic and mineral content in Total-Gro is low in pH (acidic). Effervescence will occur when mixed with inputs of high pH. Under normal circumstances this should stop once the reaction equalises. Incompatibility is indicated if a precipitate forms, separation occurs or emulsion gels”.
